Akshay Kumar's early films in the industry did not do well at the box office. In a previous interview, Akshay made a humorous remark about Chunky's influence.

Actor Chunky Pandey recently spoke about his long-standing friendship with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, revealing that their relationship dates back to 1986. The duo, who have worked together on films such as Housefull and De Danan Dan, met at the Madhumati Academy of Film Dancing & Acting, where senior students frequently mentor juniors. “I’ve known him since 1986 when we were in Madhumati class,” Chunky said in an interview with Lehren. He recalled those early days, saying, “Before teachers, senior students used to train juniors, so I taught Akshay Kumar many things.”

However, Akshay Kumar’s early films in the industry did not do well at the box office. In a previous interview, Akshay made a humorous remark about Chunky’s influence. He joked, “Whatever I learned, I learned first from Chunky Pandey, and it was so wrong that my films did not work. So I decided to change. Whatever Chunky taught me, I unlearned and then learned something new, which is how I became Akshay Kumar.”

In a recent interview, Chunky Panday praised Akshay Kumar, saying, “When I first saw Akshay Kumar, I knew he was a star even as a kid.” Chunky reflected on their professional collaborations, recalling the camaraderie they shared on set. “We get along like a house on fire, and now Ananya is in a film with him. It’s a pleasure to have him on set because he improvises so much. He improvises for everyone, which is great. “He enjoys creating and staging scenes.”
