Kriti Sanon’s next film Do Patti, launched its new song – Ja Raanjhan yesterday inducing a rewarding melancholy in the air. The song from T-series received much acclaim because of the beautiful chemistry shown between Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh. However, as much as the song received appreciation for Kriti’s new ‘heartbroken’ look, a particular bunch of people came forward drawing similarities between Kriti’ s look and Deepika as Veronica in Cocktail.

Netizens Draw Similarity B/w Deepika Padukone And Kriti Sanon
As soon as the song was out, netizens were quick to relate Kriti’s overall look in the song to Veronica’s character in film Cocktail. Deepika Padukone who appeared in film Cocktail in 2012 as Veronica, was a rich-carefree kid who sees life slipping off her hands when love enters her life but turns unsuccesful. Although the story from Do Patti is not unveiled yet, but the new song hints towards Kriti probably being another heartbroken-carefree individual with a complete opposite twin. As Kriti dances out in the song pouring out full drunkard-sad woman vibes, fans on reddit said that the actress gave Veronic vibes.
A user on Reddit wrote, “Main Tera naam japdi vibes”, to which another individual wrote, “No one beats Veronica” sharing one of Veronica’s look from the movie. Many other users also expressed their thoughts as they wrote, “It’s giving Veronica only if this turns out to be Kriti’s cocktail”, “Tera naam japdi phiraan..reboot”, and “It’s giving DP from Cocktail and I love it.
While most of the comments about drawing similarites seemed decent, a few indiivduals seemed to be disliking the song as they felt Deepika Padukone did it better and bringing something so similar after 2012 is what makers should have not chosen to do. Expressing disappointment on the same, a user wrote, ” It looks so outdated even Deepika in main sharabi looks fresher than this“. Another user called Kriti as ‘Wannabe deepika padukone‘.
