The Mirzapur series has become a cultural phenomenon in Indian entertainment, known for its gripping storyline and unforgettable characters. With two successful seasons, the show set a high standard for web series in India. However, the third season didn’t live up to expectations, with many fans expressing disappointment, particularly over the death of Munna Tripathi, portrayed by Divyenndu Sharma. This pivotal character’s demise in the second season’s finale left a void that fans found hard to fill.

Recently, the creators of Mirzapur released a Mirzapur Bonus Episode, which has sparked mixed reactions from viewers. The bonus episode, released on August 30, features deleted scenes and sees Divyenndu’s character, Munna, returning in a new role as a sort of anchor. Now,two months after the release of Season 3, the Mirzapur Bonus Episode was introduced, featuring Munna in a compilation of deleted scenes, with Divyenndu playing an anchor-like role throughout.

Fans took to Reddit to voice their opinions, with many saying that the bonus episode felt like a desperate effort to win back viewers. One user commented, “It was a desperate move to win back the trust of the audience.” Another said, “The bonus episode felt like a desperate ex trying to manipulate emotions.” Some emphasized saying, “Well everyone is criticising Mirzapur makers for this move Btw what you guys are expecting Munna will be alive Somehow like Undertaker. This is purely a gimmick to milk the munna character Even Divyendu had said he don’t want this Munna image anymore.”
