Deepika Padukone and Nilu Kohli had an unexpected first interaction on the sets of the 2010 film Break Ke Baad. The senior actress recently shared her experience of meeting Deepika while they were shooting in Mauritius, revealing an amusing yet surprising moment.

In a conversation with Hindi Rush, Nilu Kohli recounted an incident that took place during the filming. She explained that a bouquet was part of a scene, but as the evening progressed, the flowers began to dry out. Being a plant lover, she decided to sprinkle some water to keep them fresh. However, she didn’t realize that Deepika was sitting right behind the bouquet. Just as she sprayed the water, she heard a voice asking, “Who is this!?” When she turned, she saw Deepika, who had unknowingly been caught in the spray.
Nilu Kohli recalled feeling awestruck at that moment. She shared, “I looked at the side and saw it was Deepika who was sitting on the other side of the bouquet and the water that I was spraying went on her face. I was so awestruck! She actually looks like a goddess, but yeah, nothing happened after that because she realized what I was doing and I said sorry, and she did not mind.”
Break Ke Baad was a romantic comedy featuring Deepika alongside Imran Khan. Directed by Danish Aslam and produced by Kunal Kohli, the film released in 2010.
