On the occasion of Chiranjeevi Konidela’s 69th birthday, the makers unveiled the first look of Chiranjeevi’s ‘Vishwambhara,’ showcasing the actor in a powerful pose. Known for his larger-than-life roles, Chiranjeevi’s look in this new film was anticipated with great excitement. However, the reaction from some fans has been mixed. They noted similarities between his appearance in this film and his previous roles.
Directed by Mallidi Vassishta, who gained fame with ‘Bimbisara,’ and produced by UV Creations, Chiranjeevi’s ‘Vishwambhara’ first look poster features him in a dramatic pose, holding a trident amidst thunderous visuals. The poster’s tagline reads, “When Myths Collide Legends Rise,” suggesting an epic adventure in this socio-fantasy film. Despite these grand elements, some fans have expressed disappointment, questioning whether the film will meet box office expectations.
On Reddit, reactions varied. Some fans voiced concerns about the movie’s content, hoping it avoids a clichéd romance track. One user commented, “I hope there is no stupid romance track. Since it is Sankranthi, we will pass at least 400 crore.” Another fan remarked on Chiranjeevi’s similar look to his previous films, saying, “Same looks in the last three movies. If you named this poster ‘Bhola Shankar,’ no one would doubt it.” Other comments included, “Why did boss choose to wear the ‘Acharya’ movie dress? But he’s looking slim, though,” and “I hope we don’t see him romancing much younger girls.”
The film features an ensemble cast, including Trisha Krishnan, Ashika Ranganath, Ramya Pasupaleti, Esha Chawla, Ashrita Vemuganti Nanduri, and Kunal Kapoor in pivotal roles. The music is composed by Oscar-winning maestro MM Keeravani, raising expectations. Chiranjeevi’s ‘Vishwambhara’ is set to release on January 10, 2025.
