Celebs Who Are NOT On Instagram
- Ranbir Kapoor
First on the list is Bollywood Gen-Z star Ranbir Kapoor. On Kapil Sharma’s show, Ranbir Kapoor shared that he avoids social media to keep his personal life separate, allowing fans to focus more on his on-screen characters. He described himself as “boring” and felt unable to constantly entertain on social media, though he does have an anonymous account to stay updated on entertainment news.
2. Saif Ali Khan
In a November 2022 CNBC-TV18 interview, Saif Ali Khan explained his social media avoidance by saying it feels dishonest. He dislikes the need for approval on posts and the pressure to constantly manage his account, preferring to avoid getting caught in such issues.
3. Aamir Khan
After his 56th birthday, Aamir Khan announced he would stop using social media, making his final post in March 2021.
4. Rekha
Despite many fan accounts, veteran actress Rekha avoids Instagram and remains absent from social media, unlike some of her peers.
5. Rani Mukerji
Rani Mukerji, despite staying relevant, avoids social media and even WhatsApp. In a 2019 interview, she said she prefers a simpler life without social media apps, causing frustration among friends who have to pay to message her. She admitted she feels more comfortable staying in what she calls the “dinosaur age” and struggles to be on social media.
6. Jaya Bachchan
Bollywood veteran Jaya Bachchan also prefers to avoid social media, while her husband Amitabh Bachchan has an Instagram following of a whopping 37.5 Million.
