Valentine’s Day is often about flowers, chocolates, and romantic dinners. But for Benny Blanco, it was all about nacho cheese. Knowing that his fiancée Selena Gomez isn’t a fan of flowers, the music producer found a creative way to make the day special. He filled their bathtub with melted nacho cheese.
In a video shared on Instagram on February 14, Benny set up a path of tortilla chips leading to their bathroom. At the end of the trail, the words “I <3 You” were spelled out using the chips. But the highlight? A bathtub filled with cheese sauce. To complete the moment, Benny dipped a chip into the tub and took a bite.
Selena, who has openly shared her love for Taco Bell and nachos, appreciated the unique gift. She commented on the post, writing, “I love everything bout this,” showing her approval of Benny’s unexpected but thoughtful gesture.
This isn’t the first time Benny has gone all out for Selena. Last year on Valentine’s Day, he rented out a movie theater just for her and stocked it with all her favorite snacks, including Taco Bell, nachos, and Hot Cheetos. And in December, he proposed to her with a simple picnic featuring Taco Bell takeout.
Their relationship thrives on these personal and meaningful moments. In a recent joint interview, Benny shared how their personalities balance each other out. He, being more extroverted, brings Selena out of her comfort zone, while she helps him slow down and enjoy the little things.
In addition to their Valentine’s Day celebration, the couple also had another big announcement. They revealed their upcoming joint album, I Said I Love You First, which will be released on March 21. The lead single, Scared of Loving You, is already out, accompanied by a heartfelt music video capturing their love story.
Selena took to Instagram to share the news, saying, “I always trick you guys. My NEW album, I Said I Love You First, with my best friend Benny Blanco, is out on 3/21.” Fans can also pre-order merchandise and signed products for the album.
With their creative gestures and shared passion for music, Benny and Selena continue to surprise and delight their fans.
