Amitabh Bachchan has conveyed profound pride and happiness as India officially ascends to the position of the world’s fourth-largest economy, overtaking Japan with a GDP now estimated at $4 trillion. In a sincere post on X (formerly Twitter), he described this as an “extraordinary accomplishment” and offered his congratulations to the country. Furthermore, Bachchan honored the Agniveers, recognizing their bravery and commitment.

This achievement signifies India’s impressive economic rise from being the 11th largest economy just ten years ago. The factors driving this growth encompass strong domestic consumption, excellent performance in global trade, record GST collections, and a notable increase in digital transactions. Looking forward, India is anticipated to become the third-largest economy by 2028. Bachchan’s message resonates with the national spirit, commemorating a significant milestone in India’s economic progression.

Shortly thereafter, Amitabh shared a touching tribute to the armed forces of India. Along with a photograph of Indian soldiers, he expressed in Hindi, “T 5390 (iii) Agniveer Zindabad!! Jai Bharat Mata Ki !! Jai Hind (sic),” and included the Indian tricolour emoji.

Amitabh Bachchan recently addressed India’s Operation Sindoor, which aimed at terrorist camps located in Pakistan and the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Although he had previously shared vague and perplexing updates, on May 11, he issued an extensive statement that firmly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
