Ameesha Patel, who stepped into Bollywood with Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, quickly gained recognition following it’s success. As her career progressed, she signed multiple projects and built strong connections with industry stars like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Sunny Deol. However, one of her most cherished friendships has been with Sanjay Dutt, who considers her as his family. In a recent interview, Ameesha Patel opened up about her close bond with Sanjay and shared how he has even taken it upon himself to find her a suitable match.
While recalling a moment from the past, seeing a picture shown to her by Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha Patel revealed that she was clearly asked to wear Indian traditionals like salwar suit only when visiting Sanjay Dutt’s house. He did not like to see her wearing short clothes, and neither was she allowed to wear it whne going to meet him. He urged her to come wearing traditionals.
Ameesha said, “You’re too innocent to be in this film industry. ‘Main teri shaadi karwaunga main ladka dhundunga, main kanyadaan karunga.” Infact, Dutt was so protective for Ameesha that he had always been there right away for the actress, at every text. Ameesha stated that whenever she visits him, she is seen donning an elegant salwar suit set, and no other western wear.
Ameesha began to talk of the moment, when she saw a pic from her old birthday celebrations at Sanjay Dutt’s place. Revealing why she was dressed in a salwar suit on her birthday, she told that she had always been treated like a kid. So, this was one of her birthdays, in Sanju’s house. “And I am cutting the cake wearing a salwar-kameez. It was just a private party,” the Kaho Na Pyaar Hai actress quoted further.
