Recent revelations by Sharad in News 18 India’s Diamond States Summit speak of a shocking price charged by him for Srikanth and the reason behind it. The actor signed the movie for just Rs.101 which is almost like he did the movie for free. Revealing the reasong behind charging this minimal fees, the actor disclosed the tight budget. Srikanth was directed by Sharad Kelkar’s very close friend Tushar Hiranandani. Being a friend, Sharad did not want to financially pressurize him by charging a whopping price for the film. Thus, he chose to do it for free.

Reports from News18 revealed Sharad stating that Tushar had honestly confessed to him that if he had the funds, he would have given the actor the required amount. Hearing this, Sharad decided to perform for their friendship and the beautiful story that it was.
On the work front, Sharad Kelkar said he never expected he would get such roles of official leaders, cops, or villains in movies. He expressed that if a guy in the industry is tall, he is mostly given the role of a police officer or else of a villain. Prior to Srikanth, Sharad Kelkar was seen in Rocky Handsome, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga, Bhoomi and many more. Sharad initially, gained popularity by his character Naahar in TV serial, Saat Phere.
