A Strict Telugu-Themed Wedding For Naga Chaitanya And Sobhita Dhulipala!

Here's how they will leave fans in awe! Naga Chaitanya And Sobhita Dhulipala have choosen a simple Telugu wedding in December, focusing on cultural traditions.

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are set to tie the knot in December 2024 and excitement is building among fans ever since the rumours of their wedding surfaced online. Adding to the buzz, Naga Chaitanya’s father, veteran actor Nagarjuna has shared some heartfelt details about the upcoming wedding, talking about its simplicity and cultural richness.

Speaking to The Times of India, Nagarjuna revealed that both families have agreed on a traditional Telugu wedding, staying true to the couple’s roots. He mentioned that Sobhita’s family was keen on including all the rituals, a sentiment shared by both Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala.

“Sobhita’s parents were clear about wanting to include all the rituals, and I was completely on board. I find the chants and ceremonies so soothing — they bring a sense of peace. It’s going to be a lovely wedding, simple and heartfelt, just like the couple,” Nagarjuna shared.

The actor also revealed that the couple wanted to handle the wedding arrangements themselves and he happily agreed to it. “Chaitanya didn’t want a big wedding; he and Sobhita both preferred a gathering of close family and friends. They told me to leave the arrangements to them. They wanted to do it their way, and honestly, it was a huge relief! I said, please do,” Nagarjuna said with a smile.

Nagarjuna spoke fondly about his future daughter-in-law in an earlier interview with The New Indian Express. “She is a lovely girl, and she too is someone who lives life on her own terms. I see the bond, the warmth, and a very healthy relationship between Sobhita and Chay. I’m very happy for both of them, especially Chay,” he said.

Recently on November 21, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala were seen attending the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024 in Goa alongside Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni. The couple, walking hand-in-hand, appeared happy and relaxed, drawing attention from fans and netizens.

The wedding, set to take place at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad will honour the legacy of Naga Chaitanya’s grandfather, the legendary Telugu actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao who founded the iconic studio and this exquisite decision to keep the wedding low-key has resonated with many. While many celebrity weddings are often extravagant, this one will focus on meaningful rituals and close-knit celebrations and its essence we already witnessed during Sobhita’s ‘Pasupu danchatam’ ceremony, marking the start of wedding festivities.
