Recently, the news of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma’s divorce surfaced online. While none of them officially announced the divorce, images were leaked where the estranged couple was seen moving to Bandra Family court. Also, the insider reports claimed that Dhanashee Verma has asked for Rs.60 crore alimony from Yuzvendra post the divorce settlement. But the choreographer’s family finally breaking the silence has bashed all the rumors associated to the huge amount of alimony being charged.
Dhanashree Verma Family Dismisses Rumors Of Alimony
Dhanashree’s family released a statement where they claimed, “We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered. There is no truth to these rumours whatsoever. It is deeply irresponsible to publish such unverified information, dragging not just the parties but also their families into unnecessary speculation. Reckless reporting like this only causes harm, and we urge the media to exercise restraint and fact-check before spreading misinformation and also be respectful towards everyone’s privacy.”
Dhanashree’s lawyer Aditi Mohan, on the other side also passed a statement that the divorce proceeding is still on and there is no finalisation on it yet. “I have no comments to make on the proceedings, the matter is currently sub judice. The media should fact-check before reporting, as a lot of misleading information is being circulated.”
Reportedly, both Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal, have been staying separately from the past 18 months. The couple got married in 2020, and have chosen to part their ways stating “compatibility issues” as the reason.
