Directed by filmmaker Berry Jerkins, Mufasa: The Lion King premiered first on December 9th, in Dolby Theatre of Los Angeles. Following the same, the film released in US and neighbouring countries on December 18th and 19th respectively, and finally Friday, December 20th is its release across the nation in India. Post its theatrical run, Mufasa : The Lion King will begin to stream on Disney+ Hotstar. Earlier speculations from different sources stated that the film could see a release on Netflix, after its theatrical release is over. But, as per a report by Decider, it was noted that there are lesser chances for Netflix to buy the film’s streaming rights, as the film is produced by Disney itself.
Even though there is no official confirmation on Mufasa: The Lion King OTT release, there are higher chances that reveal that the film’s will give its OTT streaming rights to Disney+ Hotstar only. Mounted on a budget of 200 million, this Barry Jenkins directorial is dubbed by some of the top notch actors like Shahrukh Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Mahesh Babu, Aryan Khan and many more for the different versions of its release. A new fact of interest for many is that the film features voice-overs by Shahrukh Khan’s sons Aryan Khan and Abram Khan as well. Abram will be performing his first-ever debut with this dubbbing, which has excited SRK fans even more.
