Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma have legally ended their marriage after months of speculation. According to reports in ABP News, the couple had been living separately for the past 18 months before finalizing their divorce at the Bandra Family Court. The proceedings were concluded on February 20 with both parties citing “compatibility issues” as the reason for their separation. A lawyer familiar with the case revealed that the couple attended a 45-minute counseling session before officially parting ways. Following this, they confirmed to the judge that the divorce was mutual. The final verdict was announced at 4:30 PM, legally dissolving their marriage.
Ahead of the court hearing both Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma shared cryptic messages on their Instagram stories hinting at personal reflections. Yuzvendra Chahal wrote – “God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only imagine the times I’ve been rescued that I don’t even know about. Thank you, God, for always being there, even when I don’t know it. Amen.”
Similarly Dhanashree shared a long note -“From Stressed To Blessed – Isn’t it amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings? If you’re stressing about something today, know that you have a choice. You can either keep worrying, or you can surrender it all to God and choose to pray about everything. There is power in having faith that God can work all things together for your good.”
These posts led to discussions online, with many speculating about the status of their relationship even before the official news broke. And reports indicate that the couple finalized all legal proceedings without any disputes. However, rumours suggest that Yuzvendra Chahal may have to pay Rs 60 crore as alimony to Dhanashree Verma, though no official confirmation has been made regarding the financial settlement.
