Akanksha Puri Criticises Bigg Boss OTT For Double Standards In Kiss Controversy

Former Contestant Questions Show's Hypocrisy in Promoting Kiss While Expressing Her Side of the Story

Akanksha Puri has voiced her discontent with Bigg Boss OTT, accusing the show of double standards and cultural hypocrisy. The controversy arose after the recent eviction of Puneet Superstar, with the latest highlight being a lip-lock between Akanksha Puri and Jad Hadid.

The on-screen kiss, witnessed by countless cameras, reportedly left host Salman Khan both angered and apologetic to the audience. However, Akanksha, who has since been evicted from the house, offers her own perspective on the kiss controversy. In a conversation with an entertainment portal, she remarked, “I’ve performed such scenes for a project for Jio itself. If it was against our culture, Bigg Boss would have intervened immediately. They are editing and promoting the kiss through promotional videos on their page and creating reels out of that clip.”

Akanksha also revealed that Jad had taken the kiss personally, stating, “He told Salman sir that he enjoyed it, and apart from it being a task, it felt personal to him.”

Furthermore, Akanksha emphasized that her parents were supportive of the incident, saying, “When I perform such scenes in my web shows, I don’t seek my mother’s permission. I am a mature individual, and this is my work.”
