Jodhaa Akbar is a Hindi Historical romance film written, directed, and produced by Ashutosh Gowariker. The film stars gorgeous actors Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles with Sonu Sood, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, and Ila Arun in supporting roles. The film portrays the romance between Mughal emperor Jalal-ud-din Muhumaad Akbar and his Rajput wife Jodhaa Bai.
The music of the film was composed by A.R Rahman. The film gave some magnificent songs that are popular even after a decade. This includes Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah, Jashn-E-Bahara, Khwaja Mere Khwaja, In Lambho Ke Daaman Mein etc.
This film was the third collaboration of Ashutosh Gowariker and A.R. Rahman after Lagaan and Swades. Javed Akhtar penned the lyrics for Khwaja Mere Khwaja and Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah.
The music was released on 9 January 2008 and the CDs were out by 18 January. The above video features the grand music launch of the film. Amitabh Bachchan marked his presence and launched the film’s music. The film was released on Feb 15, 2008, and was a critical and commercial success.
