South films like Rajinikanth starrer “Jailer”, Vijay Thalapathy starrer, and “Leo” are some of the biggest blockbuster hits of the year. Many films like Salaar, Pushpa 2, Devara, and others are still in the queue. So without further ado let’s take a look at the much-anticipated upcoming South Indian movies releasing in 2023-24.
Upcoming South Movies 2023-2024
- Salaar (2023)
Salaar will be a Telugu action thriller film, directed by KGF director Prashanth Neel. The film will feature Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles. The film will hit the theatres on December 22, 2023.
2. Pushpa 2 (2024)
Sukumar’s directorial Pushpa: The Rise was a blockbuster hit. The storyline of the second installment of the film will be the continuation of the first part. The second part will feature Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The film will be released on 15 August 2023.
3. Devara (2024)
Devara – I is an upcoming Telugu action drama film written and directed by Aarcharya director, Koratala Siva. The film will be headlined by RRR actor Jr NTR alongside Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor in titular roles. Devara is expected to be released on 5 April 2024.
4. Game Changer (2024)
Directed by S. Shankar and produced by Dil Raju, Game Changer is an upcoming Telugu political action thriller film starring RRR actor Ram Charan and Bollywood actress Kiara Advani in the lead roles. Apart from them the film also stars Anjali, S.J Suryah, and Jayaram in significant roles.
5. Kalki 2898 AD/Project-K (2024)
Based on a dystopian world, Kalki 2898 AD is an upcoming epic science fiction film written and directed by Nag Ashwin. The film features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. The film is expected to hit the theatres on 12 January 2024.
6. Kanguva (2024)
Kanguva: A Mighty Valiant Saga is an upcoming Tamil periodical action-drama film. Directed by Siva the film stars Suriya, Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, and Yogi Babu among others. The release date is yet to be announced.
7. Indian 2 (2024)
Written and directed by S. Shankar, Indian 2 is an upcoming Tamil film featuring Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, S.J. Suryah, Siddharth, Gulshan Grover, and others. The release date is yet to be announced.
