Kannada Superstar Kichcha Sudeep Accused of Leaving Producer in Financial Crisis

Producer M N Kumar Claims Sudeep Ignoring Calls and Failing to Start Film Despite Receiving Full Remuneration

Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep has been embroiled in controversy as producer M N Kumar alleges that the actor has left him in a financial bind. Known for producing successful films like “Ranga (S.S.L.C),” “Kashi from Village,” “Manikya,” and “Mukunda Murari,” Kumar revealed in a press conference that Sudeep has accepted his payment but has yet to commence work on their agreed-upon project.

Having collaborated on four films, including their latest venture “Mukunda Murari,” Kumar expressed his disappointment over the delay in starting their new film. He stated, “I have already paid Sudeep his complete remuneration, approximately Rs 9 crore. I even went the extra mile and paid Rs 10 lakh for the renovation of his kitchen as per his request. Additionally, I provided an advance to director Nanda Kishore and registered the film title ‘Muttatti Satyaraju’ with the film chamber. However, Sudeep has recently announced a film with a Tamil producer, despite assuring me that he would prioritize my project after ‘Kotigobba 3’ and ‘Pailwan’.”

Furthermore, Kumar expressed his frustration over the lack of communication from Sudeep, stating, “He is unresponsive and has even changed his phone number. Whenever I visit his residence, I am told he is unavailable. I have attempted to reach out to him through the film chamber as well. We have now escalated the matter to the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce. I am willing to resolve this issue if Sudeep chooses to engage in proper communication.”

In a gesture of fairness, Kumar stated that he would apologize if his claims were proven false. However, he made it clear that he would continue to protest if Sudeep fails to respond. He declared, “If Sudeep does not provide a response within the next two days, I will organize a protest in front of his house.”
