Selena Gomez Announced Her Upcoming Song “Single Soon” With A Cryptic Post

On Thursday, Selena Gomez announced that her next album is not fully prepared; she is set to release her debut single, appropriately centred around the theme of single life.

Selena Gomez is wrapping up the summer by offering a glimpse into her upcoming music era. On Thursday, she announced that her next album is not fully prepared; she is set to release her upcoming single, appropriately centred around the theme of single life.

The singer took to her Instagram handle and confirmed that her new album is in the works and announced the release date of a song titled ‘Single Soon’. She wrote,  “Y’all have been asking for new music for a while,” she wrote on Instagram. “Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Presave it now.”

The teaser images include polaroids of Gomez with friends, and one of them features a sticky note with the infamous parting message Jack Berger offered Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City: “I’m sorry, I can’t. Don’t hate me.” Whether those images are hidden Easter eggs for the song’s lyrics will be revealed to the public on Friday.

After her 2020 album “Rare,” there hasn’t been an album release from her; however, she did unveil her all-Spanish EP “Revalación” the subsequent year.

According to reports, she has made guest appearances on a few scattered singles following her last complete album, such as Rema’s hit “Calm Down” in 2022, and she released a standalone track titled “My Mind & Me” in support of her documentary bearing the same name last year.

The announcement of her new music overlaps with Gomez’s recent revelation of the Rare Beauty Impact Fund, which she shared last week.
