About Practical Magic

Practical Magic, released in October 1998, is a fantasy romantic drama directed by Griffin Dunne. Sandra Bullock (who plays Sally Owens) and Nicole Kidman (who portrays Gillian Owens) are two orphan sisters from a long line of witchcraft. They are raised by their aunt in Massachusetts and have to surmount the curse of never being able to find love. The film failed to make a box office collection and also received negative reviews. Despite that, the chemistry between Bullock and Kidman was appreciated and the film was considered a cult among the audiences.
