Reality TV sensation and makeup mogul Kylie Jenner inadvertently stirred the pot with a brief Instagram story expressing solidarity with Israel.
Last Saturday, Kylie posted an image of Israel’s flag along with a heartfelt caption: “Now and always, we stand with the people of Israel!” However, her show of support didn’t go unnoticed, and she swiftly removed the post after facing a barrage of criticism from individuals advocating for Palestine and Hamas.
Screenshots of Kylie’s now-deleted Instagram story have since gone viral, making rounds on various social media platforms. Her comment section became a battleground for harsh and disparaging remarks from both sides of the ongoing conflict.
Many questioned her involvement in political matters and her stance in favor of Israel. In response, some flooded her comments with Palestinian flags, while others called her out for deleting the pro-Israel post in the face of backlash.
A netizen slammed her for supporting Israel by tweeting, “kylie jenner, the most privileged rich yt woman in america, supporting israel while not saying anything about how israel has treated palestine. @gigihadid @bellahadid you have a demon in your inner circle unfollow her and stay away from her plastic a&&.”
Another Twitter user called her “spineless” for deleting her post.
Meanwhile, on the political front, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed a strong response to Hamas’s actions, matching their devastating force with equal resolve. Via his official social media channels, Prime Minister Netanyahu declared, “The IDF will immediately employ its full strength to dismantle Hamas’s capabilities. We will obliterate them and vigorously seek justice for this dark day they have brought upon the State of Israel and its citizens. As Bialik wrote: ‘Revenge for the blood of a little child has yet been devised by Satan’.”
