BTS’ Jungkook Crowned The ‘Most Popular K-Pop Star’ In India, Says Research

Someone said it right, BTS are indeed legends, being perfect at anything and everything they do, right from delivering top-notch content to their fans to making them super proud. Over the past several years, BTS has made a strong base here in India, earning some loyal fans, also known as ARMY. It is sure difficult keeping up with the boys’ success, from them topping all charts, to dominating the music industry, and this time, winning the hearts of millions of Indian fans.

A recent South Korean government market research has declared Jungkook as the most popular K-Pop artist in India. The results made it very clear, that the 25-year-old is surely the most loved Korean entertainment star in India, who enjoys a huge fan following here.

The research was conducted by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Korea international exchange agency, which mentioned the maknae of the band topping all categories, making him the highest-ranked K-pop star in India. Riding the Hallyu wave, the love and appreciation that various other K-Pop groups and K-Drama have been receiving recently here in India are tremendous. BTS has been considered to be one of the most successful K-Pop bands in the history of Korean pop culture, often regarded as ‘paving the way’ for other K-Pop groups globally.

Jungkook is not only considered a great artist, with many talents but is also known for the hard work and sacrifices that he had to make for his career. Now a more reserved person, Jungkook had revealed how he was one mischievous child growing up. “I was a very mischievous boy when I was young,” Jungkook said. “I loved playing outside as a kid. I really hated studying though. I got in trouble by my mom a lot. I was the type of kid who would run down the hallway and eat lunch fast at school (laughs). I even tried out for a b-boy competition even though I wasn’t good at it.”

He continued, ” I became intimidated by the large crowd. I started to shrink after being surrounded by so many strangers. This might be the time that I began being shy around people I didn’t know.” But Jungkook has become a global icon today, he shared how fame often comes with pressure, “I realized that I should think twice before I do anything, and not forget where I am, no matter what situation I may be in,” Jungkook said. “The pressure [of being perfect] is always there. But I want to show them that I am improving.”
