Why Ranbir Kapoor Said that ‘Kabir Singh’ Was Destined To Fail?

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal has grabbed the market after its trailer was released. It has topped the page of each news media with its headlines. Fans are going crazy after watching intense, brutal, harsh action drama in the trailer. As Ranbir Kapoor quoted in an event that this film is ‘Adult rated Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. Everyone is talking about Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. Amidst this trending talk, Ranbir talked about the success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh. He revealed that he had doubts about the success of Kabir Singh.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga, maker of Animal is famous for his previous films ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’. When Ranbir was talking about these films he revealed that after watching Arjun Reddy he was sure that no love story can be more fascinating than this. Performance given by Vijay Deverkonda has created a massive impact on the audience and the film was magic in itself. But when Vanga decided to make Kabir Singh, Ranbir Kapoor felt that the real essence would be missing and it would not be as successful as Arjun Reddy. But Sandeep Reddy Vanga presented Kabir Singh with the same magic. It collected over Rs. 379.2 crore at worldwide box office.

Ranbir said, “When I watched Arjun Reddy before the announcement of Kabir Singh, I thought there can’t be any better love story than this. And when Sandeep made the same love story through Kabir Singh, I was pretty sure that the magic, the performances Arjun Reddy has created, won’t be created twice. But he did it again.”

While talking about his character in the Animal movie, Ranbir said that the character is somehow similar to Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh. But it is more intense.  In this movie many veteran actors will be seen on screen like Anil Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri and Rashmika Mandanna as a female lead. The movie is set to project in theatres from December 1 and the pre bookings will be starting from 26^th November on full fledged level.
