Superstar Shah Rukh Khan To Be The First Indian To Be Honored By Locarno Film Festival

Sharukh Khan is soon to receive the Locarno Film Festival Career Achievement Award on August 10th, 2024. He is said to be the first Indian personality to be receiving this achievement because of his excellence and exemplary acting skills.

Superstar Shahrukh Khan, aka King Khan, will soon be receiving the Locarno Film Festival Career Achievement Award, the site announced on Tuesday. Bollywood heartthrob and the king of romance on August 10th will receive the award for his remarkable performance.

Locarno Film Festival, took to X (formerly X), informing about the actor’s award-winning performance. The post read, “To welcome a living legend like #ShahRukhKhan in Locarno is a dream come true.The actor and film producer – a true Indian superstar, a symbol of the vitality of Hindi-language cinema – will receive our career achievement award, the Pardo alla Carriera, at #Locarno77.

The Film festival is supposed to be a 10-day event, starting from August 7th – August 17th, 2024 in Switzerland. Reports even say that Shahrukh’s most-celebrated film Devdas – by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, will also be screened during the festival. The award show is set to be held at Piazza Grande, Locarno, Switzerland. This will mark the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival, and it is an honour to receive a tribute to his exemplary career. Khan has done more than 100 films in his 32 years of journey, each leaving an impression in our hearts.

Reportedly, Shahrukh is the first Indian Bollywood personality to receive the “’Pardo alla Carriere Ascona-Locarno Tourism’ award. Before this, Italian filmmaker Francesco Rosi, American singer-actor Harry Belafonte, and Malaysian director Tsai Ming-Liang are the lucky ones chosen for the honour. This superstar is also a Padma Shri recipient. His last films Dunki, Jawaan, and Pathaan have won thousands of hearts – all because of his beautiful chemistry with actress Deepika Padukone and his over the top acting skills.
