Sunny Deol Does Not Drink Alcohol, Says, ‘Itni Kadvi, Upar Se Smell Itni Gandi’ – Here’s What His Younger Son Rajveer Said

Sunny's younger son, Rajveer, who accompanied him during the interview, added a comical twist to the story.

In a recent interview with Mashable India, Sunny Deol delved into a humorous yet insightful memory about his encounter with alcohol. The actor candidly revealed that he once tried drinking during a visit to England but quickly realized that alcohol was not for him.

“Ye nahi ki maine try nahi kiya… Jab main England gaya tha to maine try kia tha to be part of the society but daaru ka mujhe samajh hi nahi aaya ki itni kadvi, upar se smell itni gandi hai, upar se sar dukhta hai, toh kyun peete hain? Ye koi matab nahi hai, isiliye I never did that.”

Sunny’s younger son, Rajveer, who accompanied him during the interview, added a comical twist to the story. He shared an incident where he had only one beer, and his father mistakenly believed he was drunk.

“The first time Dad got a hint was when I had had only one beer. Dad was sleeping, and I was walking to pick up something because I left my charger next to his bed, and I tripped on his charger, and he thought I was drunk. He could smell that one beer on my breath.”

When asked if Sunny remembered the incident, he touched upon the discipline prevalent in his family.

“I didn’t know when both my sons started drinking. This has been the case in my house always. My father didn’t know many things about me. Like this, the children stay a little disciplined. A child will do what he has to do,” said Sunny, the son of veteran superstar Dharmendra.

Despite the occasional mishaps, Sunny Deol emphasized that he has never liked alcohol. His recent film, Gadar 2, achieved significant success, breaking several box office records. Even Rajveer’s debut film, “Dono,” was released, but it did not perform well at the box office.
