Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming film, Dunki starring Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was recently rumored to have been postponed. However, the rumors were now dismissed after it was confirmed that the film will be releasing on 22nd December, this year, having a direct clash with Prabhas starrer “Salaar”.
Taking to Twitter, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the big update about SRK’s film Dunki and wrote, “SRK – ‘DUNKI’ NOT POSTPONED… Yes, #Dunki is arriving on #Christmas2023… #DunkiTeaser releasing soon! #SRK #RajkumarHirani,”
For the unversed, recently many rumors surfaced claiming that the makers of film, Dunki have decided to postpone the release of the film due to delayed post-production timelines. Many rumors stated that the film might release in 2024, avoiding clash with Prabhas starrer Salaar.
However, since now the rumors have been firmly denied, then Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan will be having a direct faceoff and box office clash with Prashanth Neel’s film Salaar starring actor Prabhas. Talking about the clash Prashanth Neel’s directorial, Salaar which was earlier set for a theatrical release on 29th September was postponed by the makers due to some unknown reasons.
For the unversed, Salaar will be Telugu action thriller film, directed by KGF director Prashanth Neel. The film will feature Prabhas, Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles. On the other hand, Dunki will be an upcoming comedy-drama film by Rajkumar Hirani featuring Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan and actress Taapsee Pannu.

Shah Rukh Khan made his comeback in 2023 with his two major blockbuster films Pathaan and Jawan which also became the two highest grossers of 2023. Shah Rukh Khan will soon be appearing again in theatres with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film also marks the first ever collaboration of the famous actor and filmmaker. And with recent blockbuster hits like Jawan and Pathaan there’s a high possibility that “Dunki” will recreate the magic on screens for the SRK’s fans.

Prabhas was last seen in Om Raut’s directorial Adipurush which unfortunately failed to impress the viewers. Prabhas will now be seen in Prashanth Neel’s Salaar. He also has Kalki 2898 AD featuring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani and Dulquer Salmaan.
