Since the covid pandemic has started, the OTT platform is blooming in the entertainment industry. Many skilled actors and actresses have revived their careers because of the OTT platform. Now actress Sonali Bendre who has worked in films like Hum Saath – Saath Hain, Diljale, Sarfarosh, English Babu Desi Mem, and many others gave a huge statement on Bollywood.
Speaking to a popular news portal, Sonali said that due to OTT there were second innings in her career. Apart from this she also revealed what kind of Bollywood attitude won’t work in the long run. The actress also opened up about her Sarfarosh co-actor Aamir Khan.
Talking about Aamir Khan and her love for working, Sonali said, “I want to be working now. I’m enjoying it so much. Now I’m no longer an accidental actor. I’m choosing to do this. Now I don’t have an excuse if I don’t get it right. When I did Sarfarosh with Aamir, I enjoyed it. I missed the opportunity to consciously learn from him during Sarfarosh.”
The OTT platform gave her second innings in her career and talking about the same she said, “If OTT platforms wouldn’t have come, we wouldn’t have got a second inning. That ‘chalta hai (casually saying it’s okay)’ attitude cannot last anymore and I think that’s the best thing that has happened to our industry.”
Sonali Bendre who is a cancer survivor spoke about the same. She added, “Having a scar, losing my hair’ helped her appreciate that ‘beauty is never perfect.”
