We all know how the versatile tollywood star Rakul Preet Singh has teamed up with ace producer Ronnie Screwvala under his banner RSVP movies for a totally woman centric film to be directed by renowned Marathi film maker Tejas Deoskar which has created a lot of buzz and piqued curiosity of fans as well and now in her latest interview, Rakul spills the beans on playing condom-tester in next film.

Rakul who is going to be seen essaying the role of a condom tester / quality control executive in this upcoming movie titled as Chhatriwaali, which is already being touted as an eagerly anticipated film of 2021, is excited for the same since it basically aims to battle the stigma surrounding condoms with dash and pinch of humor. Speaking about the movie, a joyous Rakul shares, “It’s very exciting and I am very thrilled about that film because it’s important to sort of highlight some issues in a light-hearted way and that has got me pretty excited. But for now, that will happen towards the end of the year”.
Condom Tester is basically a position by big condom companies where they hire a person above 18 years of age who is qualified enough to test their new products before it hits the market.
Tejas Deoskar, who last directed Madhuri Dixit Nene in her debut Marathi film Bucket List (2019) is going to be making his directorial debut in Bollywood with Chhatriwaali. The film, which is said to be a social comedy, offers a quirky take on quashing the stigma that Indians have about the use of condoms.
Apart from this one, Sardar Ka Grandson (Netflix, 2021) fame bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh indeed has a quirky lineup of movie projects with Mayday starring Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan followed by Thank God with Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra wherein this thriller drama film is being directed and produced by Ajay Devgn himself and finally Doctor G opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.
