Sriram Raghavan’s, much-awaited and highly anticipated action thriller film, Merry Christmas starring Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif with South actor Vijay Sethupathi was released in theatres on 12th January 2024. After registering a low opening at the box office the film witnessed slight growth on Saturday.

Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Merry Christmas which opened up to positive reviews from the critics and netizens, failed to secure a decent opening at the box office. The action-thriller secured a box office opening worth only ₹ 2.55 Cr at the box office.
As per Sacnilk.com, the film saw slight growth on Saturday and earned approx. ₹ 3.45 Cr. The domestic collections of the film now stand at a total of ₹ 5.9 Cr. The box office opening of Merry Christmas is lower than any recent Bollywood releases
Meanwhile, it is also reported that the film’s box office opening was majorly affected due to its box office clash with Mahesh Babu starrer Guntur Kaaram, Teja Sajja starrer Hanuman, Dhanush starrer Captain Miller and Tamil film Ayalaan. All these 4 South films have secured a higher opening than Merry Christmas.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Merry Christmas is an action thriller film, starring Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif with South actor Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. Shot in Hindi and Tamil, Merry Christmas was released in theatres on 12th January 2024.
The film has been shot in two languages, with different supporting actors, the Hindi version features Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, while the Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams.
