Kangana Ranaut Celebrates Nephew Ashwatthama’s Gantrala Ceremony In Himachal Pradesh, Shares Adorable Pics

Kangana also shared images of Ashwatthama sleeping peacefully in her lap, capturing tender moments as she kissed his hand.

Kangana Ranaut recently shared heartwarming pictures from the Gantrala ceremony of her newborn nephew, Ashwatthama, held at their ancestral home in Himachal Pradesh. In the photos, Kangana is seen affectionately kissing the tiny hand of the sleeping baby, clad in an all-white kurta pyjama. Kangana chose a pink sari for the special occasion, and her brother lovingly applied a red tilak on the baby’s forehead.

Gantrala is a traditional Himachal Pradesh ritual celebrated on the thirteenth day after a child’s birth, and Kangana explained its significance in her Instagram post. She wrote, “In Himachal, we have a tradition of Gantrala, a small Pooja hosted by the family on the thirteenth day of the child’s birth. It is Ashwatthama’s Gantrala today, and now he is free to go out and meet the world.”

Kangana also shared images of Ashwatthama sleeping peacefully in her lap, capturing tender moments as she kissed his hand. Her sister-in-law, dressed in a red lehenga with an orange odhni covering her head, was also featured in the photos. In another picture, Kangana’s parents couldn’t hide their joy as they observed Ashwatthama during the pooja.

Ashwatthama, born on October 20, had his face revealed by Kangana when she first met him. She expressed her happiness on the occasion and shared her parents’ immense joy in a heartfelt post.

On the professional front, Kangana’s recent release, the action film “Tejas,” directed by Sarvesh Mewara, hit cinemas last week. However, the film, produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies, struggled at the box office, earning only ₹30 lakh on its fifth day of release.
