Cinema is slowly recovering after two years of hardships due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Many films are eying for theatrical release in the upcoming months. Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey and Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha are the two amongst many!
Jersey was supposed to release on 31st Dec 2021 but due to a sudden surge in Covid-19 cases, the makers made a conscious choice of postponing the release. And after almost 50 days, the team has announced a new release date.
Jersey Release Date: Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming sports drama will release on 14th April 2022. He shared the good news on social media as he wrote, “So so happy to announce that our beloved film #Jersey will be releasing worldwide in theatres on the 14th of April 2022. See you in the theatres!!”
However, Aamir Khan’s film Laal Singh Chaddha, which was earlier supposed to release on 14th April 2022 has been postponed.
Laal Singh Chaddha Release Date: Aamir Khan Productions shared an official note stating that the film’s release has been pushed because they haven’t been able to complete the film on time. Laal Singh Chaddha’s new release date is 11th August 2022.
Laal Singh Chaddha is the official remake of Hollywood classic Forrest Gump’. It also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Both Jersey and Laal Singh Chaddha will have theatrical releases.
