Fukrey actress Richa Chadha is quite popular for her bold nature in general. Being an outsider in the industry, Richa has been successful in making her own position in Bollywood. A few days back, this actress posted her husband, actor Ali Fazal, on Instagram to tell some lady who made a comment on her husband. Richa always grabs the attention of everyone, wherever she goes. In a recent interview with ABP TV, Richa told about a role she refused; it was the role of Hrithik Roshan’s mother.
Richa Chadha played a fantastic role in Gangs of Wasseypur. In both parts, she did a great job by playing the character of an elderly woman when she was actually very young. After that, she received an offer to play the role of Hrithik Roshan’s mother. But this actress confidently said no to this role.
Elaborating more on this, Richa said, “When I got that offer, I was just 24. That casting director offered me this role without thinking, just because someone told him that I played the old woman’s character very well. Later, the actress who did that role is really a good actress.”
There are high chances that the movie in which she got the offer of this character was ‘Agneepath’ released in the year 2012. In that movie, Zarina Wahab played Suhasini Chauhan, the mother of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, played by Hrithik Roshan. But there is no confirmation about the name of the film by Richa Chadha.
She feels this is very unfair. She continued saying, “So I felt it was very wrong that you put makeup on young actors to look them old just for the sake of your film. Not only are you doing disservice to a young actor, you are also taking away an older actor’s path, which is already shrinking.” And of course, the whole thing was out of her ethics.
Ahead of explaining her aged character in Gangs of Wasseypur, she said that she wasn’t the one in the movie to play an old woman. Almost everyone from that film: Manoj Bajpayee, Huma Qureshi, Piyush Mishra went through ageing, and she wasn’t only under single focus.
Recently, Richa was seen in the movie Fukrey 3. And she is filming another movie, Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, which will release next year.
