Meghna Naidu is considered to be amongst the most stylish & sassy actresses in B-Town. The artist made her on-screen debut in Bollywood with the hit chartbuster track – Kaliyon Ka Chaman in the year 2022, which in turn became an overnight sensation. The song was a remix of Lata Mangeshkar’s hit track, Thoda Resham Lagta Hai (1981). Meghna’s sizzling hot moves in the song took the T.V screens on fire as the same was always topping the charts & trending everywhere. Talking about cinema, Naidu has worked in a number of films in numerous languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Bengali. Rain, Classic – Dance Of Love, Coolie, Mashooka, Ilamai Oonjal are some of her noted works in movies.
In an Exclusive Flashback interview with Lehren, Meghna Naidu once got candid about her debut chartbuster track Kaliyon Ka Chaman & its success, songs, films, sports & the need of a godfather or backing to have a successful career in Bollywood.
While talking about the selection in her debut song, Kaliyon Ka Chaman, Meghna Naidu revealed that it was by luck or just by chance as she had accompanied her friend to Universal’s office who was in turn interested in doing a musical video. But the staff there complimented her (Meghna Naidu) on the basis of looks & insisted the latter to drop in her pictures for the audition. The actress just casually submitted her college days modelling snaps and surprisingly bagged an audition after a week. She added about clearing the audition as the director Radhika Rao was extremely elated after seeing her clip & they both created a Banger Blockbuster, Kaliyon Ka Chaman as a result of it.
Meghna additionally mentioned about working in more than 10 films & dance numbers in several languages like Tamil, Telugu Kannada & Bengali. The all-rounder artist also expressed her love for tennis as a sport & informed about the different ventures she had worked for in India & abroad (U.S.A).
Naidu highlighted the importance of having a godfather in the Hindi Film Industry to get a boost in the same,”Film Industry Mai Godfather Hona Zaroori Hai.” She called herself as an outsider without a godfather, who knew no one from the industry. She added focusing on regional cinema post her Hindi movies didn’t do well & also informed about returning to her debut genre of music videos after a period of time.
While concluding, Meghna Naidu appreciated the value of talent & hard work in a performer to fulfill his/her goals in the world of cinema & advised the actors to believe in themselves; without getting influenced by people who are just faking around them. The Kaliyon Ka Chaman Girl also sang the mega-hit track in her own melodious voice!!!
