Despite the star-studded cast and its thrilling aerial action sequences, the initial reviews of "Fighter" have been met with mixed reactions.

The much-anticipated Bollywood film “Fighter,” featuring an ensemble cast including Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, has finally landed in theaters. The movie narrates the story of Hrithik Roshan’s character realizing his dream of joining the Indian Air Force and leading his team to protect the nation from external threats.

Despite the star-studded cast and its thrilling aerial action sequences, the initial reviews of “Fighter” have been met with mixed reactions. While actors Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone have been praised for their performances, some critics argue that the film unnecessarily emphasizes nationalism without a compelling reason.

The movie’s aerial action has garnered acclaim for its top-notch execution. However, this aspect alone hasn’t shielded the film from scathing criticism, with some reviewers expressing disappointment in various areas.

Senior journalist Bharathi S Pradhan, in her review for Lehren, labeled the movie a “Doomed Dogfight” and assigned a modest two stars out of five. Indian Express criticized the film, attributing its downfall to excessive jingoism, while Times of India deemed it a clichéd narrative.

In contrast, some critics have hailed “Fighter” as a masterpiece. Film critic and trade analyst Nishit Shaw gave the film a glowing review, describing it as a “MEGA-ENTERTAINER” and awarding it a notable 4.5 stars out of 5.

Rohit Jaiswal, another film critic, took to Twitter to express his positive opinion, rating “Fighter” with 4 stars out of 5. He commended director Siddharth Anand for combining style, action, and genuine storytelling, dubbing the film as “PHENOMENAL” and a “BIG SCALE ENTERTAINER.”

While critical reception remains divided, fans of the movie have embraced it, drawing comparisons between its action sequences and those of Hollywood counterparts. Despite the mixed response from critics, the ultimate verdict lies with the audience, who will decide whether “Fighter” becomes a cinematic success. Initial reports estimate a first-day box office collection of Rs 25 crore, showcasing the film’s popularity among moviegoers.
