Akshay Kumar is all set for his next film post the dry run of Raksha Bandhan at the box office. His film Mission Cindrella starring Rakul Preet is now titled Cuttputlli and will be released straight away on OTT. The trailer of the cop thriller Cuttputlli was released today and is slated to release on 2nd September on Disney+ Hotstar.
The trailer of Cuttputlli is finally out and it is damn impressive. The film promises to be a wholesome dose of thrill, chase, and suspense. Akki as a cop is on the hunt for a serial killer. Kumar is back in the police uniform and a dark-type role. Fans are expecting him to rock this time after the failure of three back-to-back films.
In the trailer, Akshay is heard saying “Serial killer ke sath power nahi, mind game khelna chahiye.” The story revolves around the character of Akshay Kumar named Arjan Sethi who is on a quest to hunt down a serial killer in Kasauli. Kumar is determined to catch this dreadful criminal while Rakul Preet Singh plays a school teacher and will assist the pollice officer in his mission.
Akshay astounded his fans with his character of a no-nonsense cop in Cuttputlli. The film is a Hindi remake of the 2018 Tamil psychological crime thriller Ratsasan, starring Vishnu Vishal. The trailer of Cuttptlli was launched today in Mumbai in the presence of Akshay Kumar, Rakul Preet Singh, Sargun Mehta, and Chandrachur Singh.
The first look of the cop thriller was unveiled yesterday on the festive of Janmashtami. Khiladi Kumar dropped the teaser on his social media and wrote: “Yeh khel power ka nahi, mind ka hai. Aur is mind game mein aap aur main…sab #Cuttputlli hain.”
Directed by Ranjit M Tewari the film stars Rakul Preet Singh, Sargun Mehta, and Chandrachur Singh along with Akshay Kumar. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh under the banners of Pooja Entertainment Productions. The film is scheduled to release on Disney+ Hotstar on September 2.
Apart from Mission Cindrella now titled Cuttputlli, Akshay is looking forward to ‘Selfiee’, ‘OMG: Oh My God 2’, ‘Gorkha’, ‘Capsule Gill’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and ‘Soorarai Pottru’.
