October 6, Friday marked the release of two much-anticipated Bollywood films, “Mission Raniganj” and “Thank You For Coming“. While both the films opened up to positive reactions and reviews from the audience, however, they failed to have a decent opening at the box office.
Mission Raniganj Box Office Collection Day 1
Tinu Suresh’s survival thriller drama, “Mission Raniganj” starring, Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra, had a disappointing start at the box office. As per Sacnilk.com, the film earned approx. ₹ 2.8 Cr on its first day. However, the survival drama still managed to beat Bhumi Pednekar starrer “Thank You For Coming”.

Thank You For Coming Box Office Collection Day 1
Karan Boolani’s directorial Thank You For Coming is a comedy-drama starring Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, and Shibani Bedi, fell flat at the box office on its opening day. The film earned less than a crore on its first day at the box office. As per industry trade tracker Sacnilk, the film earned mere “80 Lakhs“.
However, both the Bollywood films “Mission Raniganj” and “Thank You For Coming” are expected to see growth during their first weekend (Sat-Sun) at the box office.

Apart from them, the film also stars actor Anil Kapoor, Karan Kundrra, Sushant Divgikar and others in significant roles. The film was released in theatres on 6th October.

Directed Mission Raniganj is a survival thriller film inspired by the 1989, Raniganj coal mine incident. The story revolves around Jaswant Singh Gill, a coal mine officer who put his life at stake and saved his team during the coal mine incident.
The film stars Akshay Kumar alongside Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles. Apart from them the film also features Kumud Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Khushboo Atre, and others in significant roles. The film was released in the theatres on 6th October.
