Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 Titled Pavan Putra Bhaijaan Will Undergo 8-10 Years Leap

Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel is in the making and will have a leap of years

Salman Khan’s blockbuster film Bajrangi Bhaijaan has completed 7 years and reportedly the sequel of the film is in the works. The iconic movie was directed by Kabir Khan and penned by SS Rajamouli’s father KV Vijayendra Prasad. Just like TV serials this film now identified as a cult classic is said to have a leap of years in Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2.

The massive hit released in 2015 had won several hearts. The makers are working on the franchise of this iconic cult classic movie. The second chapter Pavan Putra Bhaijaan is a continuation of the Bhajrangi Bhaijaan but will witness a leap of 8-10 years.  The first part ended at Bhaijaan aka Salman Khan reuniting Munni with her family in Pakistan. The sequel will not start from where the first chapter ended but it will be a continuation of the same story showing a jump in years.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla writer Vijayendra Prasad confirmed the same. He said:  “Yes, the story takes an 8 to 10 years leap in Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. I am hopeful that the sequel will be no lesser than the first part.” Prasad added: “I have narrated the story outline to Bhai and he has loved it. Now the ball is in his court to decide on timelines.”

Vijayendra Prasad revealed that his son SS Rajamouli wished to direct Bhajrangi Bhaijaan but he was then busy with Bahubali 1. He said: “Before I was about to commit the story to Salman Bhai, I narrated it to my son and tears started rolling from his eyes. I asked if I should keep the story for him, but he asked me to give it away. Once the film was released, he came to me and said ‘Papa, you asked me at the wrong time. I was shooting the climax of Bahubali 1 and it was a gittery situation then. Had you asked me 10 days before or later, I would have directed the film’.”

The writer also unveiled that Bajrangi Bhaijaan is inspired by a Telugu film, Pasivadi Pranam, headlined by Chiranjeevi. “I love that film. On seeing it, one of my associates said, let’s make a film where the danger comes from Pakistan, and let’s make our hero a Bajrangi Bhakt. Then the story was about our hero going to Pakistan and then bashing them. We got a winner in hand. But my mind was not agreeing to it. We wanted to do something beyond bashing Pakistan. The intention was to make a film that doesn’t increase the animosity between the two countries but decreases it,” says Prasad.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan featured Salman Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kareena Kapoor, Harshaali Malhotra, and Om Puri, in leading roles. Shot at a budget of 90 crores earned around 900+ crores at the box office. In the coming time audience will get to see a sequel of the 2015 hit film.
