In a thrilling announcement, Aamir Khan has revealed his next project as a producer under Aamir Khan Productions. This exciting venture will see the talented Sunny Deol taking the lead role in the film titled “Lahore 1947,” directed by the acclaimed Raj Kumar Santoshi.
Taking to the official Instagram account of his production company, Aamir shared the exhilarating news with fans and followers. He wrote, “I, and the entire team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, titled Lahore, 1947. We look forward to collaborating with the immensely talented Sunny, and one of my favorite directors Raj Santoshi. The journey we have embarked on promises to be most enriching. We seek your blessings, A.”
The announcement sent fans of both Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol into a frenzy of excitement. “Wow! It’s definitely going to be a blockbuster movie! Waiting for it,” wrote one enthusiastic fan. Someone wrote, “Let’s go another big one coming fosho”.
Sunny Deol’s last release, “Gadar 2” soared past ₹525 crore at the box office. For a brief period, it even held the title of the highest-grossing Hindi film in India of all time, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathan.” However, Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” reclaimed the top spot just a day later, proving that the competition in Bollywood remains as fierce as ever.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan was last seen in “Laal Singh Chaddha” alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film failed to perform at the box office and Aamir eventually took a break frm work.
