Netflix’s fame series Emily in Paris star Lily Collins,32, has recently announced through her Instagram post, that she is officially married to American film director and writer Charlie McDowell,38. The actress has revealed that the couple got married in an intimate wedding on September 4 in Colorado and have officially become each other forever.
Lily Collins shared a heartfelt note for her long-time fiance. She posted a series of their wedding picture on Instagram with the note. The note says, “I’ve never wanted to be someone’s more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife.” She continued by saying, “On September 4th, 2021 we officially became each other forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell.” The news did not amuse fans much as Lily and Charlie had always been open about their relationship after making it official in August 2019.
Fans can witness Lily and Charlie sharing a Kiss in an Instagram post. Lily is wearing an elegant white Ralph Lauren wedding dress with a lace embellished veil which she pulled off in the classiest way possible. While her husband Charlie can be seen in a classic black tux. Fans cannot deny the fact that the background in their post looks exquisite. Also, the couple has managed to strike a perfect pose for the image, while making it the best wedding picture out there.
Her post gets flooded with like and comments with immense love and support. They congratulate the newly married couple. Friends of Hollywood star Lily Collins also showered love for the couple. Vanessa Hudgens and Vampire Academy fame actor Sarah Hyland have also taken to the comments section to congratulate the pair. Vanessa commented with heart emojis, “Congratulations babeeee.” While Sarah Hyland wrote a big yes.
Natalia Bryant, Jay Shetty, and other stars have also penned down congratulations note that says “Congratulations Lily and Charlie on the great news.”
Charlie too posted one of the photos on his Instagram account. He is looking debonair in a black tuxedo. The caption reads, “I married the most generous, thoughtful, and beautiful person I’ve ever known. I love you @lilyjcollins.”
Charlie is an American director and writer. He is the son of Hollywood actors Mary Steenburgen and Malcolm McDowell. Rumors of dating sparked on the internet back in 2019 when the Love, Rosie actor uploaded photos with Charlie in France. Lily was then shooting for her hit Netflix series, Emily in Paris. The couple had officially announced their engagement in September 2020. She wrote, “I’ve been waiting my life for you and I can’t wait to spend our life together.” Collins also said that she knew that Charlie was the one for her from the day she had met him. Charlie also took Instagram to share a post with a picture of his lady love and penned, “In a time of uncertainty and darkness you have illuminated my life. I will forever cherish my adventure with you.”
