Cannes2024: The 77th Cannes Film Festival is in full swing, and Bollywood actor Sobhita Dhulipala has made her eagerly awaited debut. For her first appearance at the star-studded event in the French Riviera, the “Made in Heaven” star chose a striking purple Cordelia jumpsuit. This outfit, from designer Namrata Joshipura’s ‘The First Order’ collection, features a plunging neckline, a cut-out midriff, and fringes at the bottom. According to the designer’s website, the jumpsuit is priced at Rs 1.8 lakh.
As soon as photos of Sobhita Dhulipala surfaced on social media, observant fans quickly noted that the cape-sleeved jumpsuit had previously been worn by Athiya Shetty at the 2023 Lakme Fashion Week.
Shetty opted for a minimalist approach, refraining from any accessories that might detract from the beauty of the piece. However, on the contrary, Dhulipala opted to enhance her look with large hoop earrings, a sultry pink smokey eye, and a subtle pop of color on her lips. Her curly hair stole the spotlight, and we admired how she let it take center stage.
The 77th edition of the film festival is scheduled to run from May 14 to May 25, with this year’s theme being ‘Many Ways To Be An Icon,’ emphasizing confidence and self-empowerment.
On the professional front, Sobhita Dhulipala entered the film scene with her debut in ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ back in 2016. She also featured in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ series. Notably, her portrayals of Tara Khanna in ‘Made In Heaven’ and Kaveri Dixit in ‘The Night Manager’ garnered significant acclaim. Additionally, she marked her Hollywood debut in Dev Patel’s ‘The Monkey Man,’ although the film’s release in India is still pending.
