Amazon’s ‘Deadloch’ Renewed for Thrilling Second Season

The Hit Crime Comedy Series Will Return with More Mystery and Laughter

Amazon Prime Video has officially renewed its popular crime comedy series Deadloch for a second season, much to the delight of its growing fanbase. The show, which blends mystery, humour, and social commentary, has been a standout hit since its debut in June last year, garnering critical acclaim and a dedicated viewership.

The renewal was confirmed by Amazon Studios on Tuesday, 9th July 2024, following the show’s successful first season. Deadloch, set in a small Australian town, follows the story of two vastly different female detectives who must work together to solve a series of gruesome murders. The show stars Kate Box, Madeleine Sami, Nina Oyama, and Alicia Gardiner, who have all been praised for their compelling performances and on-screen chemistry.

The creators of the first season, Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, known for their sharp wit and innovative storytelling, return for the series renewal. The dark-comedy show is co-produced by Prime Video along with Amazon MGM Studios, Guesswork Television, OK Great Productions, Screen Queensland and Screen Territory.

The first season of Deadloch received positive reviews for its fresh take on the crime genre, combining elements of satire and social critique with gripping narrative twists.
