Another Controversy In Diljit Dosanjh DIL-LUMINATI Tour, Singer Mocks Telangana Govt

As a befitting reply to Telangana govt, Diljit Dosanjh challenged to declare Hyderabad as a 'dry state' if they want to stop him from singing songs on liquor.

Indian-Punjabi singer, Diljit Dosanjh and his DIL-LUMINATI World Tour is constantly on the spotlight. His power-packed performance in different corners of the world is delighting fans with joy every single day. While the artist recently performed at Ahmedabad as his next concert spot, Diljit called out Telangana government after receiving a legal notice just hours before his Hyderabad concert. The singer recently was served a noticed that asked him to stop promoting liquor, drugs and alcohol via his songs at Hyderabad concert. On the same, Diljit took a jibe at them, and made a demand of declaring the state into a ‘dry state’ in exchange.

Diljit Dosanjh’s BEFITTING Reply To Telangana Govt

Diljit Dosanjh with his team released a video where he was seen addressing the Telangana govt. notice issue. In the Ahmedabad concert, the artist questioned that he can tweak the song lyrics easily but will the government make changes of declaring the entire state “dry”. He sarcastically commented at the government, “Maine devotional gaane bahut gaaye hai. Pichle 10 din mei maine 2 devotional gaane nikale hai, lekin uski baat koi nahi kar raha-har koi TV par baith ke patiala peg ki baat kar raha hai”. Pointing it out further, Diljit Dosanjh said, “Aap mereko chhedo mat. Diljit Dosanjh jaha bhi jata hai shanti se apna show karke chala aata hai.”

Diljit Dosanjh Challenges The Government

Later the singer made a demand that “if all the states in this country declare itself as DRY STATE, Diljit Dosanjh will never sing a song on liquor in his entire life”. Thereafter, he also adds as an alternative option, “wherever my shows are happening, declare those days as a DRY DAY and I will not sing a song on liquor”

Diljit himself, being an actor also put this out that how several Bollywood celebrities advertise liquor and support its promotion, but he doesn’t because he never drinks alcohol. He marked that liquor is a very big source of revenue, and the govt. can not fool the youth. He recalled how everything was shut during coronavirus period but liquor continued to go on.

As the artist addressed the issue, he made his stance clear that singing on liquor is not a necessity for him. He mentioned that it is not difficult for him to change the lyrics, he can easily do that being an age-old artist but making changes to the drinking policy of one’s state is something not easy at all.
