K V Vijayendra Prasad, a name we often see on the screen as a writer or director in most of the Tollywood movies. K. V. Vijeyendra Prasad is an Indian screenwriter and director. Till date, this great writer has written more than 25 films. If we have to talk about his famous work, there are many, but one prominent one is ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’. Now that the year is ending, he has started a new project that is going to create a crispy atmosphere in the nation in the coming days.
This writer has now engaged in the writing of a new script for a film based on the topic of Article 370. It is a historical drama that revolves around the Indian Constitution and Jammu and Kashmir state. Article 370 is about the special rights and status that were given to Jammu & Kashmir after the commencement of the Indian Constitution. This special status was removed from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019 to treat J&K just like other states in the country.
But as this film is a period drama, it will cover the part until 2019.
Before this, writer K. V. Vijayendra Prasad gave birth to many male lead characters that gained tremendous popularity, like Baahubali, Kal Bhairava from Magadheera, our very own Bajrangi Bhaijaan, RRR, etc. But this time, the writer has come up with a female-centric approach to this new story. He said, “The story is told from a woman’s point of view, beginning from the time of the partition, how Article 370 was introduced, its adverse effects, and how it was repealed, when she is 90-plus. Her conviction is that she will not die until the Indian flag is hoisted at Lal Chowk, in Srinagar.”
He also said that he has to be factually correct while presenting the story. It’s a non-fiction movie, and they have dramatized the incidents of what happened in the past.
But this writer was minimal while sharing the further details of the project. He avoided sharing the name of the Bollywood producer who approached him for this project. There are chances that the film is going to be a big-budget film, as Bollywood has indulged in the script.
