Jani Chacko And Usha Uthup’s Love Story
In 1969, during her performance at Kolkata’s Trincas nightclub, Usha Uthup met Jani Chacko for the first time. At that time, she was accompanied by her husband Ramu. The initial meeting sparked a connection, and Jani extended an invitation for Ramu to join them for a meal the next day, which further intensified tensions.
Despite Ramu’s absence the following day, Usha and Jani’s connection grew, leading to Usha gradually realizing her feelings for Jani. This realization marked the beginning of the end of her five-year marriage with Ramu. Eventually, Usha made the decision to move on from Ramu and pursue a relationship with Jani, whom she eventually married for love. These events are detailed in Usha Uthup’s biography, authored by Vikas Kumar Jha.
Jani is survived by Usha and their two children – daughter Anjali Uthup and son Sunny Uthup.
