“Uska Bachhon Wala Image Hai,” Mukesh Khanna MOCKS Tiger Shroff Can’t Play Shakimaan!

Mukesh Khanna questions Tiger Shroff’s suitability for Shaktimaan role, pointing out character’s wisdom and gravity.

Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, known for his iconic portrayal of Shaktimaan, has once again voiced his opinion on the casting for the upcoming Shaktimaan reboot film. In an interview with ABP Entertainment Live, he expressed doubts about Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s suitability for the role, sparking a lively debate among fans of the superhero.

Mukesh Khanna doesn’t believe that Tiger Shroff has the “stature” required to play Shaktimaan, a character he describes as wise, evolved, and dignified. According to Khanna, Shaktimaan isn’t just about physical power but embodies wisdom and seriousness. He elaborated with a humorous comparison, saying that if Shroff, as Shaktimaan, were to instruct a child on good habits like flushing the toilet, “the kid would turn around and say, ‘Tu baith jaa (Sit down).’” Khanna believes that Shroff’s youthful image may undermine the character’s gravitas.

Khanna explained further, emphasizing that Shaktimaan “isn’t a brainless brawler” but an evolved figure who embodies moral strength. “He has a seriousness; he is wise. Shaktimaan has gravity not because of me, but because of the character itself,” Khanna added. He noted that while Hollywood superheroes rely on flashy suits and superpowers, Shaktimaan’s strength is rooted in his persona and connection with the five elements, making him unique.

Khanna has made it clear that he holds a strong influence over the casting decision, especially as he is involved as a producer in the reboot project. He shared that even though Ranveer Singh expressed enthusiasm for the role, waiting in Khanna’s office for hours to discuss it, the casting decision ultimately lies with the producer, not the actor. “It’s not about who wants to be Shaktimaan; I will decide who suits the role,” he stated firmly.

Originally aired from 1997 to 2005, Shaktimaan became a cultural phenomenon, inspiring a generation of young viewers. With Sony Pictures India planning to revive the character, Khanna recently hinted at exciting plans for the franchise, even sharing a teaser on social media that generated buzz among fans. As the producer, Khanna’s vision for Shaktimaan remains deeply tied to the character’s legacy, and he is determined to find an actor who embodies the role’s depth and wisdom.
