Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor’s house in New Delhi has been robbed. The shocking incident was reported by Sonam Kapoor’s mother-in-law who was the first to run to the Tughlaq Road police station to report the crime at their home.
According to the reports, someone broke into their residence and stole cash and jewellery amounting to Rs 1.41 crore. Since it is a high profile case, senior police officials took swift action and began an investigation. The employees of the couple are being questioned. It includes 9 caretakers, drivers, gardeners and cooks. The police have also collected evidence from the crime scene.

Sonam Kapoor’s father-in-law Harish Ahuja and mother-in-law Priya Ahuja live with Anand’s grandma Sarla Ahuja at a posh bungalow in New Delhi. Sonam and Anand also often spend their time at their Delhi residence.
Anand Ahuja’s grandmother said in her complaint that she found out about the theft on February 11 when she checked her cupboards. A complaint was filed on Feb 23. She told the cops that the last time she looked at the jewellery was two years ago. The police are also looking at the CCTV footage of the previous year to find any leads.
Last month, it was reported that Sonam’s father-in-law’s company was defrauded of Rs 27 crore.
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are currently in Mumbai. The couple is staying at Anil Kapoor’s house. The duo is expecting their first child together.
