All hail King Khan, this news is sure to bring a wide smile to your face if you’re a Shahrukh Khan fan. King Khan had anyway taken the internet by storm by releasing the teaser of the film ‘Pathaan’ alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, now fans can’t seem to keep calm after learning that the ‘Don’ star is all set to join hands with one of the finest directors of Bollywood, Rajkumar Hirani. The rumours had been making rounds for quite some time that the two legends had been planning a movie together, but today for the first time, Shahrukh announced the great news of his collaboration with his fans.
It’s also been confirmed that ‘Haseena Dilruba’ star Taapsee Pannu is to play the leading lady in the film, opposite Shahrukh. Although the plot of the movie and other major revelations is yet to be made, as of now, Red chillies entertainment has released an officer teaser, revealing the title of the movie, ‘Dunki’. In the teaser, Shahrukh can be seen appreciating director Rajkumar Hirani, for making iconic characters like Sanju, and Munnabhai MBBS, among others. A shy Shahrukh, then proceeds to ask Hirani if he has a good script for him too, to which he promptly replies, “I do have a script.”
An excited Shahrukh proceeds to ask if the movie has other entertaining elements like action, comedy, emotion and of course, romance. “Ample,” says Hirani. When Hirani finally reveals the name of the film, ‘Dunki’, Shahrukh mishears as ‘Donkey’, but either way accepts to do the film.
