Rati Agnihotri is credited to be amongst the most talented, dynamic and good looking actresses of her time. The evergreen artist made her on-screen debut with a Tamil Language Film, Puthiya Vaarpugal in the year 1979, following her debut in the Hindi Film Industry with Jeene Ki Arzoo co-starring Mithun Chakraborty & Rakesh Roshan, the actress gained humongous amount of popularity in Bollywood after the stellar success of her 2nd film, Ek Duuje Ke Liye, which also starred Kamal Haasan.
Rati has worked in more than 100 films in her starry film career which include some of the mega hits like Coolie, Tawaif, Shaukeen, Babu, Dil Tujhko Diya & many more.
During an exclusive throwback podcast with Lehren, Rati Agnihotri once answered some exciting & thrilling questions about her Real & Reel Life that too way before the Google Era.
On being asked about her favourite person, the Mera Faisla actress replied that the spot is shared by 2 people in her life, husband Anil Virwani & son Tarun Virwani respectively. Agnihotri also revealed that her favourite quirk is being very meticulous which often goes against her sometimes, as she’s too perfect with her timing & general things. Rati also expressed about her fear of snakes as she gets highly petrified & scared of them.
Rati Agnihotri shared that Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt & Mithun Chakraborty are amongst her favourite co-stars as the latter has enjoyed working with each of them & also shares a great rapport with all.
The Bepanaah artist added that her favourite movie scene was the one from Ek Duuje Ke Liye, where she lights Kamal Haasan’s (the lead actor) photograph after having an argument with parents, crumbles the ashes in a glass of tea, drinks it and flaunts a glary look to her parents in return. She also elaborated that Ek Duuje Ke Liye is her favourite film & called it a milestone, which in turn gave her recognition across the industry and nationwide.
