Ramayana: Amitabh Bachchan To Give His Voice For “Jatayu”!

After Animal, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is currently gearing up for his much-anticipated and highly-awaited upcoming project, Ramayana. The epic drama is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. While the shooting for the first part of the film has been wrapped up, it has now been revealed that joining Ranbir Kapoor in the film will be Bollywood megastar, Amitabh Bachchan who will be lending his voice for the role of “Jatayu”.

Amitabh Bachchan In Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana

Yes, you read that right! Reportedly, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan is said to have joined the cast of the eagerly awaited two-part mythological saga, Ramayana.

Sources reveal that Amitabh Bachchan will provide the voice for Jatayu, the divine bird who heroically sacrifices himself to rescue Goddess Sita from Ravana. Though Bachchan won’t appear on screen, his resonant and expressive voice will infuse Jatayu with profound depth and significance.

Amitabh Bachchan’s cameo as Jatayu will be brought to life with advanced VFX and a special scan of his eyes to amplify the emotional weight of Jatayu’s clash with Ravana. Despite the brief appearance, Bachchan’s portrayal is set to make a significant impact on the film’s key moments.

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Cast

As per reports, Arun Govil will play the role of “Dasharatha”, Indira Krishnan will play “Kausalya”, Lara Dutta will play “Kaikeyi”, Sunny Deol will play, “Hanuman”, Sai Pallavi will play, “Sita”, Ranbir Kapoor will play, “Ram”, Yash will play, “Ravana”, Bobby Deol will play, “Kumbkarana”, Vijay Sethupathi will play, “Vibhishan”, Rakul Preet Singh will play, “Surpanakha”, while Ravi Dubey is being considered for “Laxman”. However, there’s no official confirmation about the same.
