Adipurush: On 2nd October the makers of Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush unveiled the teaser and the first poster of their film in Ayodhya. However, the teaser of the film was brutally criticized by the netizens for Saif Ali Khan’s Islamic look and unconvincing VFX. Reacting to the same Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan actress Dipika Chikhlia shared her reaction on the film and said that Raavan in the film was portrayed more like a Muslim and not a Sri Lankan.

Dipika Chikhlia Slams Adipurush

Dipika Chikhlia who has been known for her role as “Sita” in Ramanand Sagar’s television series Ramayan recently shared her reaction on Om Raut’s film Adipurush’s teaser which has apparently been criticized for the portrayal of it’s characters with resemblance to Muslim looks than Hindu’s.

Commenting on the same Dipika told AajTak, “A film’s characters must appeal to the audience. If the character is from Sri Lanka, they should not look like Mughals. I could not understand much as we get to see him for mere 30 seconds in the teaser, but he does look different. I agree that times have changed and VFX is an essential part but only as long as the people’s sentiments are not hurt. (But then) It is only a teaser, may be it does not do justice to the film.”

She added, “If I try to connect myself with Arvind Trivedi (Ravan in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan), I would not feel good. But I also believe each actor has the liberty to portray a character as their interpretation.”
